Please join us on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 for the 2019 Labour Market Information (LMI) Forum and participate in the official launch of New Brunswick’s first LMI Network. This year’s forum, facilitated by Dr. Herb Emery (Vaughan Chair in Regional Economics at the University of New Brunswick) and John Calhoun (Senior Economist with PETL), will bring together academics, researchers and policy makers to focus on Reversing the Effects of an Aging Population in New Brunswick.
The forum will feature a keynote speaker, Harvey Weingarten (President and CEO, Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario) and a presentation by Phil Leonard from the New Brunswick Institute for Research, Data and Training (NB-IRDT).
As a participant, you’ll have the opportunity to gain an improved understanding of ongoing efforts to address the challenges of an aging population and attend two panel sessions with presentations and discussions by key subject matter experts on: ‘Aligning Education and Training with the Labour Market’ and ‘Using Immigration to Fill Labour Market Needs.’
